Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño, Pereira, 2021El texto a continuación procura resaltar la importancia de la odontopediatría en el proceso de rehabilitación de niños con Labio y/o Paladar Hendido, pero sobre todo la necesidad de la multidisciplinariedad de áreas de la salud que deben unir esfuerzos hacia un mismo fin; este caso en específico se vincula directamente a la fonoaudiología con la Odontopediatría. En el mismo sentido reconocer la función de la odontología en todas sus ramas desempeñado en el ecosistema de la Fundación Sonríe de Pereira y la afectación que podría causar la ausencia de dicha atención en la recuperación de los usuarios vinculados a dicha fundación; durante el proceso de extracción de información se reconoce una real problemática de salud. desencadenada por una problemática social y económica en los países latinoamericanos, aunque no libra al resto de países en los que se presenta esta condición de discapacidad; Por ende, la importancia de cuidados adecuados y estimulaciones sensoriales que ayuden a la evolución del paciente se ha detectado como una gran oportunidad de intervención de diseño, que sea factible y viable en el mercado. En el caso de Colombia se presenta la iniciativa de diseñar para esta población a través de la Fundación Sonríe y con su constante apoyo, surge en el semillero de investigación de la Universidad Católica de Pereira la iniciativa de diseño, social y política que propone el Kit Diversa, un conjunto de piezas funcionales que componen un todo, y procura dar asistencia a la evolución de la oclusión, el desarrollo de fonemas, la modulación y buenos hábitos desde el consultorio hasta en el hogar del usuario, pero, siempre con la supervisión de un adulto en el uso cotidiano del elemento según la metodología de diseño centrada en el usuario, iniciando por la conceptualización, pasando por modelado y proyección del elemento, incluyendo la iteración que propone el mismo y siempre validada con los especialistas de la fundación y la discusión constante del semillero, lo que asegurará el factor innovador y de aciertos en el elemento en relación con el fin único de sonreír a un bajo costo. / Abstract: The following text seeks to highlight the importance of pediatric dentistry in the rehabilitation process of children with Cleft Lip and/or Palate, but above all the need for multidisciplinary health areas that must join efforts towards the same goal; this specific case is directly linked to speech therapy with the Pediatric dentistry. In the same sense, recognize the role of dentistry in all its branches performed in the ecosystem of Fundación Sonríe de Pereira and the impact that the absence of such care could cause in the recovery of users linked to said foundation; During the information extraction process, a real health problem is recognized. triggered by social and economic problems in Latin American countries, although it does not free the rest of the countries in which this condition of disability; Therefore, the importance of adequate care and sensory stimulation that help the patient's evolution has been detected as a great opportunity for design intervention, which is feasible and viable in the market. In the case of Colombia, the initiative to design for this population is presented through the Sonríe Foundation and with its constant support, the design, social and political initiative proposed by the Kit arises in the research hotbed of the Catholic University of Pereira.
