This with the intention to show theimportance that has the practice of ethical principles in thedevelopment of financial activities and to propose somestrategies to strengthen the ethical behavior of the actorsinvolved in it.El presente artículo analiza las relaciones entre ética y finanzas, con énfasis en las prácticas de los mercados y servicios financieros, a partir de una breve descripción de la evolución teórica de la dirección financiera. De igual manera, se hace una revisión crítica de los problemas éticos presentes en la determinación y logro del objetivo financiero de la empresa, en los mercados y servicios financieros y en la gestión desarrollada por el gerente financiero.
