Sin embargo, en los últimos años, las políticas internacionales dirigidas a lograr ciudades y comunidades más sostenibles, han generado cada vez más estrategias nacionales para diseñar y planificar territorios con mayor rigor científico frente al hábitat urbano, entre las que encontramos las Políticas de Gestión Ambiental Urbana, de Cambio Climático y de Construcción Sostenible. Sin embargo, la escala de ciudad se reduce a lo urbano y al proyecto arquitectónico cuando se proyectan soluciones bioclimáticas en proyectos como el de Caimalito, Risaralda, y es por esto que se describirá el desarrollo de estrategías de diseño sostenible implementando instrumentos bioclimáticos desarrollados en el transcurso de la Especialización en Arquitectura y Urbanísmo Bioclimático de la Universidad Católica de Pereira. /Abstract: Great parts of the difficulties that affect the urban borders of Colombian cities or municipalities are of structural order, where we find economic inequalities, accelerated population growth and lack of land planning. However, in recent years, international policies aimed towards achieving more sustainable cities and communities, have increasingly generated national strategies to design and plan territories with greater scientific rigour to the urban habitat, among which are the Urban Environmental Management Policies, of Climate Change, of Sustainable Construction.
