Pereira, 2019En el siguiente documento se expone una de la problemática principal de la ruralidad colombiana, el alto déficit de equipamientos en la zona rural haciendo énfasis en el estudio de la zona rural 5 municipios que circundan el lado sur del municipio de Pereira como lo son: Cartago, Ansermanuevo, Alcalá, Filandia y Salento. Fue un trabajo riguroso el que desarrollaron los estudiantes de la optativa de técnica y tecnología de equipamientos rurales desarrollaron y que dio como resultado el documento técnico de soporte (DTS) en donde se compilo toda la información posible ciertas variables que se presentaban en los municipios estudiados. En el desarrollo de esta monografía se explica cada una de estas y el alcance que tuvieron para para llegar a la elaboración final del modelo de ocupación rural que se compone de una red de equipamientos ubicados estratégicamente según las necesidades del sector en donde se plantea y que da respuesta a una problemática identificada, es ahí cuando aparece como integrante de esta gran red arquitectónica el Centro Gastronómico Valle del Cocora, como respuesta a la problemática que se hayo en inmediaciones del Valle del Cocora en el municipio de Salento Quindío.
