Relationship between pedagogical models and the Institutional Educational Project (PEI in Spanish) at Villa Santana School

This article offers an approach towards the relationship between models and pedagogical practices to the teaching-learning process of fi ve professors from the educational institution Villa Santana. The qualitative research in which this text is based, used a hermeneutical design which deals with the analysis of teaching practices in the classroom, making an approach to pedagogical models which have been identifi ed in each professor from his/her speech, class observation, and a “PEI” documental analysis. This allows us to conclude that teachers look for the development of knowledge in the student by taking into account both autonomous and social aspects. Also, pedagogical practices have a close relationship with the “PEI” due to that they have implemented mixed models, which many of them are visible into the PEI.
