The qualitative research in which this text is based, used a hermeneutical design which deals with the analysis of teaching practices in the classroom, making an approach to pedagogical models which have been identifi ed in each professor from his/her speech, class observation, and a “PEI” documental analysis. This allows us to conclude that teachers look for the development of knowledge in the student by taking into account both autonomous and social aspects. Also, pedagogical practices have a close relationship with the “PEI” due to that they have implemented mixed models, which many of them are visible into the PEI.Este artículo realiza un acercamiento a la relación entre modelos y prácticas pedagógicas en los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje de cinco docentes de la Institución Educativa Villa Santana. La investigación cualitativa en la que se basa este texto utilizó un diseño hermenéutico, por medio del cual se aborda el análisis de las prácticas pedagógicas dentro del aula, haciendo una aproximación a los modelos pedagógicos identificados en cada docente desde sus discursos, observación de sus clases y análisis documental del PEI.
