El presente trabajo monográfico en artes visuales realiza una aproximación reflexiva a las formas de explotación de los recursos naturales en el territorio colombiano. Busca situar los fenómenos descritos en la vorágine para generar posturas a través de la pintura expandida, que evidencien las consecuencias de la explotación en el Amazonas colombiano desde la relación ser humano-naturaleza. De este modo, se centra en uno de los recursos principales de explotación en Colombia como lo es el petróleo y el gran impacto que esta problemática genera en las distintas comunidades y sistema-mundo. Se presta especial atención a los procesos extractivistas que tienen repercusiones desde el siglo XIX hasta hoy. A través de la obra, se busca generar en la sociedad contemporánea, una postura crítica y consciente frente al uso de los diferentes destilados del petróleo presentes en nuestra vida cotidiana, llevando al límite el espejismo civilizatorio. |

The artwork uses a special kind of painting to show these problems within the bigger picture of the world today. The goal is to make people think critically about the damage caused by taking oil out of the Amazon, and how it affects both the people who live there and the entire planet. The project looks back in history to see how this resource extraction has been going on since the 1800s.
