Además, se exploran los obstáculos que enfrentan las pequeñas y medianas empresas para su adopción. El documento finaliza con una reflexión crítica sobre la necesidad de políticas inclusivas y sostenibles que permitan una implementación equitativa del IoT en el ámbito industrial.

This article reflects on the role of IoT as a driver of innovation in sectors such as automotive, agriculture, education and manufacturing, highlighting its applications, benefits and challenges. Case studies in different developing countries are analysed, identifying how this technology contributes to closing technological and productive gaps. It also explores the barriers to adoption faced by small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as its impact on education and the digital environment.
