description El presente proyecto propone el diseño e implementación de un sistema innovador de verificación de credenciales académicas basado en la tecnología blockchain y el uso de tokens no fungibles (NFTs). La iniciativa busca transformar los métodos tradicionales de certificación, que dependen de documentos físicos, apostillas y procesos de legalización, en un modelo digital, seguro y globalmente accesible. El sistema permite que las universidades acreditadas emitan títulos académicos en formato NFT, los cuales se almacenan en la billetera digital del estudiante. A su vez, empresas, instituciones y organismos verificadores pueden comprobar la autenticidad de dichos diplomas mediante un enlace o un código QR único, sin necesidad de intermediarios. De esta manera, se garantiza la autenticidad, trazabilidad e inmutabilidad de las credenciales, al tiempo que se reducen costos, trámites y riesgos de falsificación. La propuesta contempla distintos casos de uso: la emisión de diplomas digitales, la verificación de autenticidad por parte de terceros, la compartición segura de credenciales por parte del estudiante, la actualización de información en caso de errores, y la revocación de títulos en situaciones de fraude o invalidez. Estos procesos se ejecutan de forma transparente gracias a los contratos inteligentes, que aseguran la automatización, la integridad y la inalterabilidad de los registros.
