Design of an encapsulated multistrain probiotic: production in culture medium, encapsulation, and assessment in an in vitro digestion model for tilapia
The aim of this thesis was to design an encapsulated multistrain probiotic previously isolated from a competitive exclusion medium of the intestinal microbiota of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). | Summary: | The aim of this thesis was to design an encapsulated multistrain probiotic previously isolated from a competitive exclusion medium of the intestinal microbiota of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). To achieve the proposed objective, three specific objectives were established: (1) to design a culture medium for the production of a multistrain bacteria, (2) to encapsulate the multistrain bacteria, and (3) to evaluate the viability of the encapsulated multistrain probiotic under gastrointestinal conditions in an in vitro digestion model for tilapia. |
