El objetivo fue realizar una caracterización del tipo de comunicación organizacional existente en el colegio, para luego, ponderar los problemas comunicativos y así poder determinar las estrategias más convenientes para optimizar los procesos y por ende diseñar un plan de mejoramiento de la comunicación organizacional de la institución educativa para generar una comunicación asertiva y efectiva. Para llegar al análisis de la situación problema, se realizó una revisión documental del Proyecto Educativo Institucional (P.E.I.), Agenda Escolar y Evaluación Anual Institucional, así mismo surgió la necesidad de realizar una recolección de datos a través de una encuesta y una entrevista informal, todo lo anterior en el marco de la investigación acción a través del enfoque cualitativo y con tendencias hacia una investigación cualitativa con alcance descriptivo; que evidencia que esta investigación parte desde la escuela, para la escuela a partir este punto de vista el docente se vuelve un investigador desde su propia práctica, desde su propio quehacer pedagógico, desde su hacer cotidiano en su labor como administrativo. Como parte del plan de mejoramiento, se realizaron unos objetivos, metas e indicadores que llevaron a unas acciones en concretos que se registraron como actividades que podían ser evaluadas y por consiguiente tener un seguimiento de los avances una se pueda implementar en la institución.Educational field research has taken a pivotal turn. An interest in certain educational sector managerial environments has been awakened. This research proposal was carried out at Colegio El Porvenir, Bosa borough in the city of Bogotá. Its results gave enough scope for a proposal a within the framework of its internal communication; specifically, in the media and communication channels used in the institution under study. The objective was to characterize the organizational communication type in the school. Then, ponder the communication issues in order to determine the most convenient strategies to optimize the processes and thus design an organizational communication¿s improvement plan specific to this school. Therefore, generating assertive and effective communication. To be able to analyze the problem situation, a documentary review of the Institutional Educational Project (I.E.P.), School Agenda and Annual Institutional Evaluation was carried out. It was also necessary to collect data through a survey as well as an informal interview. Everything within the framework of action research through the qualitative approach and with tendencies towards a qualitative research with a descriptive character. It shows that this research starts from the school, for the school. This point of reference allows the teacher to become the researcher of their own practice, utilizing their own pedagogical work, from their daily work teaching and administrative work. As part of the improvement plan, some objectives, goals and indicators were developed, which led to specific actions.
