Para el tratamiento de los sedimentos y asilamiento de actinobacterias, fueron utilizados cinco pretratamientos físico-químicos (Carbonato de Calcio-C, Fenol-F, Térmico-T, Microondas-M, Sonicación-U) y dos clases de medio de cultivo selectivos (agar de Ácido Húmico y agar-avena ISP3). Un total de 790 aislados de actinobacterias fueron obtenidos. Todos los aislados fueron incluidos en la colección biológica de microorganismos de la Universidad de La Sabana (ActinosUsab). A partir de esta colección biológica se realizó una estrategia de dereplicación biológica por embudo, mediante ensayos antimicrobianos por confrontación directa. La totalidad de aislados de actinobacterias fueron llevados a ensayos de confrontacion directa frente a 4 bacterias patógenas: Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus-MRSA, Enterococcus faecium-VRE y Bacillus subtilis. Los asilados con actividad antibacterial positiva fueron luego llevados a ensayos de confrontación directa frente a 3 aislados clínicos de hongos dermatofitos: Cladosporium cladosporioides, Cladosporium cladosporioides y Epicoccum nigrum. .
