Pombo: Imaginario de nación en la fábula

En el siglo XIX, cuando terminan las guerras independentistas,se hace necesario un proyecto de Nación que prepare a la sociedadpara ser una unidad,e incluya una serie de categorías,la primera es una lengua conveniente, oque se imponga por las altas élites para ser propia. Luego una religión que incluya y eduque a los excluidos (indígenas, iletrados, campesinos). Así mismo un nombre para el territorio que encierre una región con límites espacialesy demográficos, internando las áreas que están por conquistarse. Y por último, el pensamiento de instruir dichaNación a través de la enseñanza y de la literatura, o más específicamente, como se verá en éste trabajo, a partir de la fábula. Es en esta última categoría donde se centra esta investigación, aunque como todas, conforma una red que no se desliga completamente de las demás.Palabras clave: Rafael Pombo, nación, literatura colombiana, siglo XIXAbstract:By the XIX century, at the end of the independence wars, a project of nation was necessary in order to prepare society to become unified. this project included a series of categories. The first was a convenient language, or one imposed by the elite classes to be the nation’s own. After this, there was the need of a religion would include and educate the excluded (indigenous tribes, illiterate people, and peasants). also, a name was needed to enclose the territory by means of spatial and demographical limits, engulfing those areas that were yet to beconquered. Finally, there was the intention of instructing that nation by means of teaching and literature, or more specifically, through the use of the fable. This research paper will focus on this last category, although it is necessarily interwoven with the others.Key words:Rafael Pombo, Nation, Colombian literature, XIX century
