It was worked with 56 people of the residential La Bocana of Florencia – Caquetá, which 32% were men and 68% women. It was applied a survey that allowed to recognize the business ideas, as well as the actions they have taken to implement them. The results show that 75% of respondents have thought in creating a business. Most relevant business ideas are: dressmaking, grocery store, and handicrafts, which are in concord with the families conformations, because these are mono-parenting, headed by women. Similarly, business ideas are related with the trade dynamics of municipality, where trade is a fundamental part of its economy, followed by the small industry of guadua-work, wood, and indigenous handicrafts. In this regard, it is appropriate to use the business plan as a tool that allows the generation of viable enterprises, as an alternative for improving the economic situation in a population as vulnerable as the displaced people.El objetivo del presente trabajo es identificar las ideas de negocio en la población desplazada en la ciudad de Florencia, Colombia, como insumo fundamental para la generación de emprendimientos viables.  Se trabajó con 56 personas del conjunto residencial la Bocana de Florencia - Caquetá. De los cuales el 32% son hombres y el 68% mujeres. Se aplicó una encuesta que permitió conocer las ideas de negocio, así como las acciones que han realizado para ponerlas en marcha. Los resultados permiten evidenciar que el 75% de los encuestados han pensado en crear una idea de negocio. Las ideas de negocio más relevantes son: modistería, tienda y artesanías, las cuales están en concordancia con la conformación de los hogares, ya que éstos son monoparentales encabezados por mujeres. Igualmente, las ideas de negocio se relacionan con la dinámica mercantil del municipio, donde el comercio constituye una parte fundamental de su economía, seguida por la pequeña industria que trabaja la guadua, madera y artesanías indígenas.
