In this reflective paper, we begin by examining our own experiences with writing for academic and creative purposes using co/autoethnography as a method of self-reflection. Our reflections were a first step in rethinking our classroom from a critical sociocultural model, which revealed that students’ individual writing processes, motivation, feedback, and creative writing could help boost students’ self-confidence when writing for academic purposes.application/pdfengspaUniversidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombiahttps://revistas.uptc.edu.co/index.php/enletawa_journal/article/view/10955/9254Copyright (c) 2019 ENLETAWA JOURNALhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2Enletawa Journal; Vol. 12 No. 2 (2019): ENLETAWA Journal; 97-121Enletawa Journal; Vol. 12 Núm. 2 (2019): ENLETAWA Journal; 97-1212463-19652011-835XAcademic writing, co/autoethnography, creative writing, critical sociocultural modelWriting from the Self: Reflecting on the Role of Creative Writing in the Academic Writing Classroom info:eu-repo/semantics/articlehttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_2df8fbb1Peñaloza, Anna CarolinaSalamanca, Laura Camila001/16103oai:repositorio.uptc.edu.co:001/161032025-07-18 11:15:16.887metadata.onlyhttps://repositorio.uptc.edu.coRepositorio Institucional UPTCrepositorio.uptc@uptc.edu.co
