It shows the permanence status, establishing a comparative analysis between 2019 and 2021. In the same way, domestic violence data presented in this period of time are related, making a statistical co-relationship of its presence in that zone of Duitama. The new roles at home taken by teachers and students next to their families had a direct impact on the permanence and repetition rates including failing of students in the Institution. In conclusion, domestic violence is a pre-existing problem before the pandemic and requires the active participation of the education community alongside government entities giving coping strategies.Este artículo presenta la relación existente entre violencia intrafamiliar y los bajos desempeños académicos escolares de los niños, niñas y adolescentes, como producto de la emergencia sanitaria por Covid-19 en la Institución Educativa San Luis de la ciudad de Duitama. Donde se revelan los indicadores de permanencia en la Institución, estableciendo un análisis comparativo entre los años 2019 a 2021. De la misma manera, se relacionan cifras de violencia intrafamiliar presentada en éste mismo lapso de tiempo, gracias a una correlación estadística de su presencia en la zona de Duitama. Los nuevos roles ejercidos en casa tanto por los docentes como por los estudiantes y sus familias repercutieron, directamente, en los índices de permanencia, repitencia y reprobación de los estudiantes en esta Institución.
