Thus, the objective of this research is focused on the consultation and presentation of concepts, origin, methodology, variations and applicability of the technique; for this purpose it was necessary to carry out a bibliographic review, interpretation and analysis of texts with the content analysis method. From the exercise carried out, it was possible to conclude the feasibility of the methodology, the advantages compared to other less structured methods and the relevance of the format, since this enables the establishment of objectives, the determination of the means to achieve the planned goals, the definition of the verification mechanisms and the identification of the risks that may arise in the execution of the project. JEL Codes: O22 Received: 25/10/2021.  Accepted: 22/02/2022.  Published: 01/06/2022. La metodología del marco lógico es una herramienta ampliamente utilizada en los ámbitos nacional e internacional para desarrollar la planificación, el seguimiento y la evaluación de proyectos y programas. El objetivo de esta investigación se centra en la consulta y presentación de conceptos, origen, metodología, variaciones y aplicabilidad de la técnica; para lo cual fue necesario realizar una revisión bibliográfica, interpretación y análisis de textos con el método de análisis de contenido. A partir del ejercicio efectuado, se logró concluir la factibilidad de la metodología, las ventajas en comparación con otros métodos menos estructurados y la pertinencia del formato, ya que esto posibilita el establecimiento de objetivos, la determinación de los medios para lograr las metas planeadas, la definición de los mecanismos de verificación y la identificación de los riesgos que se pueden presentar en la ejecución del proyecto.
