description This paper presents the state of the art on meanings and knowledge construction through the social web. It is the result of a doctoral research aiming to develop a descriptive and comprehensive model of the relationships, movements, and actions involved in knowledge production in the social web. To make them visible, the research was focused on traveler knowledge. A search on meta search engines and specialized journals was conducted. First a preselection of articles took place, followed by choosing articles which permitted to review, in detail, texts from researchers conducted in Asia (including Australia and New Zealand), Europe, Latin America and North America. A recently created area of knowledge, with a high rate of change, was found. Another finding was that it is still not possible to understand the motivational logic leading people to the creation or maintenance of collaboration based projects. Finally, the meanings assigned to traveler knowledge in the social web are related to ways of expression, identity and (social) relationships.

Es resultado de una investigación doctoral que busca desarrollar un modelo descriptivo y comprensivo de las relaciones, movimientos y actuaciones en torno a la producción de saberes en la Web social. Para hacerlos visibles, se concentró la mirada investigativa a través de los saberes viajeros. Se revisaron metabuscadores académicos y revistas especializadas; se realizó una preselección de artículos y, posteriormente, una selección que permitió revisar en detalle textos procedentes de investigaciones realizadas en Asia (incluidas Australia y Nueva Zelanda), Europa, Latinoamérica y Norteamérica. Se encontró un área de reciente creación con una alta velocidad de cambio. Igualmente, que aún no se logran comprender las lógicas de las motivaciones que llevan a las personas a crear o mantener proyectos basados en la colaboración. Finalmente, los sentidos que se le asignan a los saberes viajeros en la web social corresponden a formas de expresión, identidad y relación (socialidad).Cet article présente l’état de la question portant sur la création de connaissances et des sens dans le réseau social. Il s’agit du résultat d’un projet de recherche doctorale qui vise à développer un modèle descriptif et compréhensif des rapports, progrès et actions autour de la création de connaissances dans le Réseau social. Afin de les rendre visibles, le regard de la recherche s’est fixé sur les connaissances de voyage. D’abord, on a utilisé des méta moteurs de recherche académique et des revues spécialisées. Ensuite, une sélection préalable d’articles a été effectuée, pour en finir avec une sélection définitive d’articles qui nous a permis de réviser en détail des recherches provenant d’Asie (y compris l’Australie et la Nouvelle Zélande), Europe, Amérique latine et Amérique du Nord. On a ainsi découvert un domaine de création récente qui montre des changements de grande vitesse. D’autre part, on n’arrive pas à comprendre les motivations logiques qui conduisent des personnes à créer ou maintenir de projets fondés sur la collaboration. Finalement, les sens accordés aux connaissances de voyage dans le réseau social correspondent à des formes d’expression, d’identité et de rapports (sociabilité).Este artigo apresenta o estado da construção de conhecimentos e significados na web social. É o resultado de uma pesquisa de doutorado que pretende desenvolver uma relação descritiva e abrangente das relações, movimentos e ações em relação à produção de conhecimento sobre o modelo da web social. Para torná-los visíveis, a pesquisa se centrou em analisar os conhecimentos virtuais. Foram revisados metapesquisadores acadêmicos e revistas especializadas; foi realizada uma pré-seleção de artigos; e, posteriormente, foi feita uma seleção que permitiu rever em detalhe textos de pesquisas realizadas na Ásia (incluindo a Austrália e a Nova Zelândia), na Europa, na América Latina e na América do Norte. Foi encontrada uma área criada recentemente e com alta probabilidade de mudança. Além disso, ainda não foi possível compreender a lógica das motivações que levam as pessoas a criarem ou levarem adiante projetos baseados na colaboração.
