El presente proyecto está basado en la redistribución del área de subproducto de la empresa Coltabaco S.A.S para mejorar el orden y ejecución de las actividades que se llevan allí; específicamente, se obtuvo una configuración que contribuye con la seguridad de los operarios que laboran en ese lugar y la utilización de los recursos asociados al transporte del material que se genera durante el proceso productivo. Actualmente, los operarios se encuentran expuestos a sufrir accidentes ya que comparten la zona de trabajo con el sitio dónde debe pasar el montacargas para tomar las cajas que se encuentran en la línea de producto final. En esta parte se evidenciaron movimientos repetitivos debido a la configuración de la banda de salida de producto terminado. Para solucionar este problema se realizó un rediseño de la distribución en planta por medio del método SLP. Además, con la inclusión de bandas transportadoras en la línea de producción se mejoró la productividad de la compañía. Las soluciones arrojadas por SLP fueron evaluadas mediante una simulación en Arena, para determinar cuál de ellas es la que mejor se ajusta a nuestros objetivos. Para el diseño de la solución se tuvieron en cuenta las restricciones de tipo espacial y las restricciones de tipo operacional asociadas con las actividades que se llevan a cabo en el área de subproducto, también se tuvo en cuenta la seguridad y bienestar de los operarios encargados del área. |

Currently, the workers are exposed to accidents, because they share the same work area that the lift truck, which is assigned to move the boxes that are located at the finished product line. Due to the current layout of this area some repetitive movements were noticed on this place. To solve this problem, the SLP method was used to redesign the layout of the plant and some conveyors belts were added to the production line. A simulation study using ARENA was conducted to examine the solutions given by SLP, in order to determine which of the proposed solutions is the best.
