Se contraponen entonces dos miradas sobre la salud y el cuerpo: una puramente funcional y objetivante, en la que la persona viene siendo algo así como un agregado de órganos; y otra, digamos, existencial, en la que se concibe el ser humano como integrado esencialmente al mundo, y la salud es entendida como un frágil equilibrio. Y lo que se intenta es argumentar que, pese a lo perjudicial que pueda ser el cigarrillo u otros modos de vida, ello no justifica una visión moralizante de la salud; el papel del médico no es juzgar los diversos experimentos de vida.ABSTRACTThis article tries to convince you with arguments that health must not be thought as a whole, that it is strong related to every human being to make sense to his life. There are two different points of view that are oppose to each other about health and the body : one purely functional where the person is nothing but a bunch of organs and other existential where the human being is conceived as a main part of the world, and health is undestood as a weak equillibrium. In other words, no matter how harmful can be the cigarrette and other stuff to human's life, it's not a doctor's issue to judge such things.En este artículo se intenta argumentar que la salud no debe pensarse en términos absolutos, que está íntimamente ligada al experimento de vida de cada ser humano, a su manera de construirle un sentido a su existencia.
