Fuente: América indígena 1960 20(3)eng: In the Dictionary of Floklore, Mythology and Legend, Alfredo Metraux states that "the motif (D672) of miraculous escape, rarely occurs in South America." In fact he suggests that where it occurs it may represent only European motif that has been imported. The following tale, which is based on motif D672, is told by the Chocó Indians on the Sambú River of Panama. Since it appears to be a tale of native origin, it is here presented as an illustration of South American treatment of this motif.spa: En el Diccionario de Floklore, Mitología y Leyenda, Alfredo Metraux afirma que "el motivo (D672) de la fuga milagrosa, rara vez se da en Sudamérica". De hecho, sugiere que donde se produce puede representar sólo un motivo europeo que ha sido importado. El siguiente cuento, que se basa en el motivo D672, lo cuentan los indios chocó del río Sambú de Panamá.
