description	El artículo profundiza en el estatus jurídico y político actual de las comunidades indígenas dentro de los marcos contemporáneos. Traza la trayectoria evolutiva de las normativas pertinentes, analiza la terminología jurídica contemporánea y arroja luz sobre los derechos políticos de las poblaciones indígenas. Se hace especial hincapié en el reconocimiento y el respeto de su autonomía y autodeterminación dentro del marco jurídico del Estado. Empleando una metodología jurídica comparativa, el análisis examina el panorama normativo relativo al estatuto de los pueblos indígenas en diversos países, como Estados Unidos, Canadá, Nueva Zelanda, Indonesia, Suecia, Noruega y Ucrania. Para respaldar las afirmaciones del autor, se adoptó una metodología de encuesta para recopilar datos de distintas regiones de Ucrania y calibrar las percepciones sobre el estatus de los pueblos indígenas y su situación sociopolítica. El artículo concluye que, a pesar de los avances perceptibles, numerosas comunidades indígenas de todo el mundo siguen encontrando dificultades para ejercer plenamente sus derechos políticos.

It traces the evolutionary trajectory of pertinent regulations, analyzes contemporary legal terminologies, and sheds light on the political rights of indigenous populations. A primary focus is directed towards acknowledging and honoring their autonomy and self-determination within the legal framework of the state. Employing a comparative legal methodology, the analysis scrutinizes the regulatory landscape concerning the status of indigenous peoples across various countries, including the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Indonesia, Sweden, Norway, and Ukraine. To support the author’s assertions, a survey methodology was adopted to gather data from different regions of Ukraine and gauge perceptions of the status of indigenous peoples and their socio-political situation.
