Description
Summary:Abstract The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between attachment styles and the level of body self-esteem in young university students in the city of Barranquilla, through a quantitative descriptive correlational study, in a sample of 294 university students chosen through a non-probabilistic sample, the sample consisted of 294 participants, among whom 183 were women (62.7%) and 111 were men (37.8%). The instruments used to carry out the research were the body self-esteem scale and the reduced version of the Cami-R. The results showed a high level of body self-esteem in both sexes, F=7.07 (SD=2.35) and M=7.26 (SD=2.20). On the other hand, it was found that the predominant attachment style was avoidant attachment with a T score of 49.0. It is concluded that there is a significant correlation between attachment styles and body self-esteem because the p-value shows a significant relationship when it is less than 0.05, in the present study it was found that the p-value is less than 0.05 therefore, there is a significant relationship between the two variables
