Description
Summary:The development of the research seeks to evaluate the incorporation of the strategy "ICT: Antivirus for Reading", in the strengthening of reading skills in the students of the average of the Juan José Nieto Technical Educational Institution of Baranoa. For this the methodology is based on a historical hermeneutic epistemological paradigm of a qualitative nature where the chosen technique was the case study so the research techniques chosen were the documentary analysis for the characterization of the strategy "ICT: Antivirus for Reading" and for the review of results of internal and external tests around the reading skills of students, the interview with teachers participating in the strategy and a survey of middle students who are part of the groups that have implemented the strategy regarding the use and appropriation of technologies, which made it possible to show that in the groups studied there was no significant advance in the results of the internal tests , but controversially made significant progress in terms of critical reading results from external tests. In addition, the use of ICT as a mediating tool in the development of the pedagogical act generates a great effect on teachers and students since it has improved by a high percentage its relationship with reading and between them. In the case of teachers their role has changed being more significant, and in the case of students has increased their taste for reading.
