Description
Summary:The ANGUILA F13 is a formula-type vehicle designed and built for the SENA ECO FORMULA competition. The objective of this research is to analyze the geometry applied to the steering system of vehicle ANGUILA F13 in order to know the characteristics and implementation of the system in the car. The method used for the design of the steering system had reference frame geometry, the rules of competition, the battle and track of the vehicle and the angle camber, caster and ackerman. In the results, the steering column to be fragmented into three parts provides greater security to the driver in case of frontal impact, the ackerman angle obtained allows the vehicle to have a smooth shift, total control of the vehicle when cornering and bonding gimbals makes it manageable direction. In conclusion, it was possible to obtain a good system performance and career management evidence taken in preventing the vehicle slipping when cornering.
