Description
Summary:This study aims to evaluate the satisfaction of the medical approach on sexual health in patients with gynecological and urological cancer in the city of Cartagena during he first semester of 2024, using the records of the Radio Oncologic Center of the Caribbean, as the leading medical institution in these pathologies. Among the heoretical foundations were presented research on comprehensive medical approach in cancer patients carried out in several countries, as well as work that reflects concern about the lack of attention given to sexual health as part of both physical and psychological well-being. By carrying out a cross-sectional descriptive ethodological design, with a mixed approach, and using documentary review, interview and questionnaire as data collection instruments, to obtain information on clinical practice to establish ccesses and failures in oncological medical care protocols. Among the main outcomes are the main challenges to include and address sexual health in patients with gynecological and urological cancer, as well as cultural and social barriers that can influence comprehensive treatment. This study could serve as a basis for future research in the field of psycho-oncology for the implementation of training aimed at health professionals, to raise awareness about the importance of including sexual health in their clinical practices
