description El presente documento describe los resultados de la investigación de la tesis doctoral realizada en el marco del Doctorado en Innovación de la Universidad de la Costa. El objetivo de dicha tesis fue analizar la influencia de las fuentes externas e internas y los modos de innovación sobre el desempeño innovador y organizacional de las empresas del sector servicios en Colombia. El proyecto se desarrolló bajo un enfoque de investigación deductiva de tipo cuantitativo-explicativo, y la metodología se basó en la recopilación de información en bases de datos, la revisión de literatura y el análisis de los datos recopilados a través de la Encuesta de Desarrollo e Innovación Tecnológica de Servicios (EDITS). Los resultados de esta investigación aportan conclusiones relevantes sobre las características del proceso de innovación en este sector, y contribuyen a reducir el déficit de conocimiento sobre la actividad innovadora en países como Colombia, ofreciendo una visión más clara de las estrategias empresariales y de políticas que podrían implementarse para mejorar el rendimiento innovador y organizativo de este tipo de empresas de servicios mediante la innovación abierta y los modos de innovación.

El objetivo de dicha tesis fue analizar la influencia de las fuentes externas e internas y los modos de innovación sobre el desempeño innovador y organizacional de las empresas del sector servicios en Colombia. El proyecto se desarrolló bajo un enfoque de investigación deductiva de tipo cuantitativo-explicativo, y la metodología se basó en la recopilación de información en bases de datos, la revisión de literatura y el análisis de los datos recopilados a través de la Encuesta de Desarrollo e Innovación Tecnológica de Servicios (EDITS). Los resultados de esta investigación aportan conclusiones relevantes sobre las características del proceso de innovación en este sector, y contribuyen a reducir el déficit de conocimiento sobre la actividad innovadora en países como Colombia, ofreciendo una visión más clara de las estrategias empresariales y de políticas que podrían implementarse para mejorar el rendimiento innovador y organizativo de este tipo de empresas de servicios mediante la innovación abierta y los modos de innovación.This document describes the results of the doctoral thesis research carried out in the framework of the Doctorate in Innovation of the Universidad de la Costa. The objective of this thesis was to analyze the influence of external and internal sources and modes of innovation on the innovative and organizational performance of service sector companies in Colombia. The project was developed under a quantitative-explanatory deductive research approach, and the methodology was based on the collection of information in databases, literature review and analysis of the data collected through the Services Technological Development and Innovation Survey (EDITS).
