Summary: | The present work was based on the integration of geochemical information from the analysis of 518 representative samples of producing fields in the Llanos Orientales basin, taking into account basic analyzes such as API gravity, sulfur, vanadium and nickel concentration, SARA analyzes , and the incorporation of high-resolution analysis of 104 samples, using GCMS and GCMSMS, to obtain biomarkers defining the geochemical genetic relationships between oils, characterize their facies of origin, depositional environments, hydrocarbon maturity, geological age and biodegradation levels. The Eastern Plains Basin, presented a wide distribution of API severities (7.19 to 48.37 API) among extra heavy to condensate, with paraffinic and paraffinic / naphthenic characteristics, sulfur concentrations (0.1% to 3%) referring to sweet crudes deposited in Silicone and crude acid environments deposited in clastic marine shales. The various biomarkers evaluated allowed to define genetic parameters of the crude that directly influence the quality; P / F ratios showing deposition environments from anoxic to oxygenic and origin of type II (marine) and nucleogen type II / III (transient), steroid ratios Ts / (Ts + Tm) and (20S / 20S + 20R ), provided data of low / moderate to high thermal maturity, the ratios of OI, NDR and NCR exposed biodegraded organic matter with Cretaceous origin and mixing with organic matter of tertiary origin. |
