| Summary: | The article addresses the processes of education and training in the fields of urban plan-ning, design and urban planning. In the introduction, it outlined two realities: on the one hand, that currently the majority of the world’s population lives in cities (80 % in Latin America); on the other hand, do emphasis is placed on the educational capacity of cities themselves. As a methodology, the study of three aspects related to the training of under-graduate students in the disciplinary fields mentioned was established. In three sections, it presented the results: i) conventional learning environments; ii) urban learning envi-ronments; and iii) two contemporary themes for learning: human dignity and urban sus-tainability. It concludes, among other things, that an ethical vision of architecture implies de-constructing scenarios from where it is learned so that they become spaces conducive to the understanding of urban social phenomena. |
