Description
Summary:Dehydration of drill cuttings is a major issue for the oil and gas industry. The high risk of contamination that can be generated to the environment and even suspensions by environmental authorship, are some of the effects that humidity and the relationship with certain external factors can cause. In general, there are conventional methods that help decrease the percentage of humidity, the problem lies in the high operating costs that can be carried out and the occupation of large unnecessary areas in the field of operations. From this project, the dehydration efficiency is evaluated by comparing conventional methods with the dewatering oven patented by Qmax Solutions Colombia. The Q-Drying-Kiln equipment is a rotary kiln designed with high quality standards to reduce humidity and volumes to a large percentage by having cuttings in the final disposal areas. The study was carried out in the Bloque Llanos 34’s field located in the eastern plains, where the team currently operates.
