| Summary: | The objective of this article is to carry out a bibliographic review on risk management within the framework of quality management in organizations. The study is approached from a qualitative, descriptive and documentary approach, through the search and retrieval of information in different databases such as Science Direct, Scopus, Emerald Insight and Google Scholar. The document presents a general context on the subject of study, the methods used for risk management within the framework of quality management systems and an international perspective of the subject through three case studies. The study shows the impact that risk management generates in the implementation of quality management systems in organizations. The results obtained show the importance of implementing risk management following the stages of planning, identification, evaluation and treatment for proper management within the organization. |
