Summary: | To make a proposal for a comprehensive waste management plan in the Technical Investigations Body of the Department of Criminalistics of the Attorney General's Office, the proposal was initiated, making a diagnosis about the current status of each group in which special attention was paid to the executive process in the office area, in the process of analysis and execution of the same, materials and supplies used for the development of their activities and mainly, the waste and waste generated as a result of the aforementioned. With the information gathered about the generation of waste and waste of all groups, the search and research work of the best alternatives for minimization, prevention and use of hazardous and non-hazardous waste is started depending on the needs of each group. To this end, minimization and prevention strategies were established for the generation of non-hazardous waste and waste and alternative treatments and disposal for hazardous waste such as chemical substances and biological waste. For hazardous waste, several liquid waste neutralization and solvent recovery treatments were developed at the laboratory level to observe the viability of each of them in the groups in which they were most frequently generated to provide a mitigation method for them. |
