Summary: | The study is focused on carrying out a comparative analysis between the University of America and the main Colombian universities present within the UI Green Metric sustainability ranking. Examining both the international context of higher education, through the practices and theories implemented by large organizations. This analysis also allows us to know the perception of Universidad América students regarding the sustainable development of the campus. This will allow us to evaluate the positioning of the University of America in relation to sustainable practices and the SDGs in the university environment. The University of America, through its FUA 2020-2025 development plan, has demonstrated a significant commitment to sustainability by implementing strategies and initiatives aligned with the UI Green Metric ranking. Highlighting the projects implemented on campus in this matter and embracing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in conjunction with the 6 axes evaluated by the Green Metric. This approach has positioned the university as competitive against the first five Colombian institutions in said ranking. |
