Summary: | The present project presents the study corresponding to the implementation of Tangent Flow boxes in the P-250 well of the Palagua field, located in the department of Boyacá, which presented gas interference in the sucker rod pump artificial lift system under API boxes configuration, reaching filling efficiencies of 40% classified as low efficiency within the ranges standardized by the company Parko Services S.A. Therefore, in the three months prior to the implementation of the Tangent Flow boxes (Scenario 1) and during the three months after the implementation of the Tangent Flow boxes (Scenario 2), the production tests (which consist of the variables BFPD, BOPD, BSW, NFSB and NLSB, filling efficiency, SPM and GOR) and the level, valve and dynamometric tests, also carrying out the evaluation of the representative dynamometric charts. Subsequently, a comparison of the two scenarios was made, where it was determined that the filling efficiency of the bottom pump increased by 40% compared to Scenario 1, reaching an efficiency of 96%, exceeding the expected efficiency of 75%. Finally, a financial study was developed using the economic indicators Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Equivalent Uniform Annual Profit (BAUE) through the projection with Option 1 where the API boxes and a Option 2 where Tangent Flow boxes are implemented, performed at three (3) alternatives to the price of the barrel (an optimistic alternative, a pessimistic alternative and an intermediate alternative). From a financial perspective, the project has more feasibility in the three alternatives when changing to Tangent Flow boxes. Additionally, it was found that Option 2, that is, the change for Tangent Flow boxes presents a higher Equivalent Uniform Annual Profit for the three alternatives, higher than Option 1 by $ 30,584.6 USD (optimistic alternative), at $ 17,389.59 USD (alternative intermediate) and at $ 4,194.58 USD (pessimistic alternative). |
