Description
Summary:In the present work the carbon dioxide flooding was evaluated as an enhanced oil recovery method in the Norne Field's E- Segment, a real field located in the Norwegian Sea. The evaluation was carried out regarding to the results obtained by the participants of a project proposed by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, in which should be proposed a method of history matching from 1997 to 2004, and subsequently, a method of optimization to predict the production rates until 2008. To make the prediction two models were used: the Capacitance Resistance Model to predict the total flow of produced fluids and, the Koval Model to discriminate the total flow among the different fluids present in the reservoir. An extension of the Koval Model was developed to perform the prediction of individual flows by having three fluids in the reservoir (water, solvent and oil).
