| Summary: | The present project started due to the identification of the problem about the lack of a design for immobilization of cattle. The diagnosis of the current situation of the immobilization machines of existing semovientes was carried out, which were not adapted to the conditions of the small and medium production cattle farms in Colombia. Then, dimensional parameters were established, properties required for the design of the structure. Based on the above, design alternatives were proposed for the head restraint subsystem, proceeding to select the most appropriate one. Finally, a final design of the machine was developed thanks to the skills obtained throughout the race. This allowed the culmination of the analysis of the structure by means of the finite element method, using the simulation Solid Edge program and thus confirming the correct operation of the machine. |
