Description
Summary:The managers and directors of SMEs face different challenges than those faced by the managers of other companies in any economy. This work identifies the competencies that SME managers require to carry out their activities, guiding their organizations towards success. To do this, first the critical or key success factors for organizations of this type are established, selecting the ten most relevant. Subsequently, the 60 competencies defined by a highly recognized and topical author in one of his most important works were taken; and each competence was rated, from one to ten, for its formal capacity to influence or generate a satisfactory performance of a manager, in each critical or key success factor. As a result, fourteen highly qualified competencies were obtained (with the privilege of empirical analysis), as the most important to manage in an SME manager.
