Summary:The purpose of this work is to implement a project management model for the start-up of a workover contract at the company Independence Drilling S.A. to that end, was designed a project management model based on the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge. (PMBOK guide), the Project Management Institute (PMI). Start up, execution, closing formats and checklists were also designed as deliverables for the different stages of the project. Subsequently, the model designed for the preparation of a workover contract was implemented for two rigs, which when compared to previous projects made it possible to demonstrate the benefits that the process and correct planning brings, since it generates a decrease in the deviation of the budget and the schedule against what was planned. Finally, the work was evaluated financially, the additional services that could be executed due to the saving in time in the contract preparation that results from the implementation of the management model designed.
