Summary: | The objective of this work was to develop a proposal for the production of biohydrogen using a Colombian agroindustrial waste as a substrate. For each of the residues, the amount of waste, the carbohydrates present in them and the C/N ratio were established. Using the PUGH matrix, it was determined that the residue with which the hydrogen production will be carried out is the sugar cane heart. Subsequently, a bibliographic review was carried out on the microorganisms that produce hydrogen, specifying for each one the optimum temperature and pH for growth, as well as the hydrogen production yield. Likewise, for the selection of the microorganism, use was made of the PUGH matrix, obtaining as a result that Enterobacter cloacae is the bacterium with which hydrogen production will be carried out. |
