| Summary: | In the monograph, the socio-environmental problems caused by the production of biodiesel in different areas of Colombia were analyzed. Biodiesel meets the characteristics to be an alternative source of energy and has a regulatory framework in Colombia that encourages production and use in order to undertake less fossil fuels and thus help mitigate effects on the environment. From the systematic review of the subject in different documentary sources, the production of biodiesel, the raw materials used, the policies that promote the use of biodiesel, the characteristics that make biodiesel an alternative energy source were described, the current scenario was analyzed of the growers and their reality in front of the scenario of the year 2020. |
