Description
Summary:The monograph presents a temporal analysis of aggravated robbery in Bogotá, considering seasonal factors as a central point of study. Beginning with a detailed characterization of the phenomenon of aggravated robbery in a specific area, its behavior in terms of time and victims is described in detail. The analysis covers the temporal evolution of aggravated theft in Bogotá during the five selected years, exploring seasonal trends and detecting possible variations. This temporal approach provides an essential context for understanding the dynamics of aggravated theft over time, offering crucial information on its fluctuations. In addition to the temporal description, a specific model is developed with the purpose of identifying the fundamental variables that influence the understanding of the temporal dynamics of aggravated robbery in Bogotá. Throughout the analysis, analytical and statistical tools are employed to assess the presence of significant temporal patterns. A systematic methodology is used to examine whether the frequency of thefts shows defined seasonal patterns and whether these crimes are more concentrated in certain periods of the year. The possible relationships between the seasonality of shoplifting and other situational factors are also explored, thus broadening the understanding of the criminal phenomenon in the city.
