Propuesta arquitectónica en contexto patrimonial - Foco Multifuncional Vivir Belén

The research problem stems from the deterioration of the housing property in the historic center of Candelaria due to the loss of resident population. For this reason, the proposal establishes residential activity as an activator of the immovable and intangible heritage by guaranteeing the permanent vitality of the center. To promote the permanence of current residents, the social bond of community life is strengthened through collaborative housing and the development of traditional activities and trades that encourage productive life and local commerce. The project establishes a direct relationship between the new work and the architectural recycling as a mechanism for the valuation of the patrimonial environments and preservation of the historical urban profile. The new architecture promotes the development of the city and the improvement of the quality of life of the inhabitants, implementing a mixture of uses that favors the daily activities and activates the sector, which leads to the recognition and valuation of the real estate heritage.
