Summary: | In the present project the behavior of the different materials that are used for the elaboration of the prototype made by the 3D materialization foundation is analyzed. Initially an investigation is made about the types and characteristics of lower limb prosthesis, then a study of the evolution of the prosthesis is made, through time, and it is possible to identify the aluminum, the carbon fiber and the ABS as the materials most used in the development of prostheses. Afterwards, a series of parameters that help in the design of a prosthesis are determined, which allow to analyze the functionality of the prosthesis with various metallic and thermoplastic materials, in these parameters the materials that have good resistance to corrosion are present, and in particular, that they are compatible with the human body. |
