Summary: | The growing concern about plastic waste and its negative impact on the environment has driven the search for innovative and sustainable solutions for its use. In this context, pyrolysis, biodegradation of PET and obtaining fibers from PET have emerged as promising methods to address this global challenge. These present different approaches and mechanisms to convert plastic waste into valuable products or reduce their environmental impact. In this document, the principles and mechanisms of each of these methods of using plastic waste are examined. Its advantages and limitations are analyzed, as well as its potential to promote the transition towards a more circular and sustainable economy. Likewise, it seeks to promote the implementation of effective waste management strategies, which allow us to mitigate the negative impacts of plastics on the environment and move towards a more sustainable future. |
