Aplicación del compostaje como método de transformación de residuos orgánicos en un centro urbano como Bogotá

The objective of this work is to propose initiatives that make composting a common practice in urban centers, seeking to generate ways to save on cleaning tariffs as a benefit to motivate the realization of this method of transformation and use of organic waste; starting with Bogotá. This was done by reviewing the available literature in order to establish clear concepts, supported in a legal framework that could be easily brought to reality. The study area was defined in Bogotá and the proposals were made taking into account the guidelines that the district has on the subject. The work delves into the practical topics of composting, in order to serve as a guide for the reader who could be interested in trying the technique on their own, as it is considered that there´s enough information and bibliography cited to carry out this project at home. The project managed to determine that in Bogotá and the country in general, there are many gray areas in the legislation, which can be seized to propose initiatives, generate new and innovative opportunities and take the entrepreneur route within the framework of the circular economy.
