Description
Summary:Anaerobic digestion is a biological process that is characterized by having four (4) stages in which organic matter is decomposed by the action of microorganisms in the absence of oxygen, producing biogas, which is mainly composed of methane, carbon dioxide (CO2 ) and traces of hydrogen. DA comprises 4 stages: hydrolysis, acidogenesis, acetogenesis, and methanogenesis. The purpose of this degree work is to carry out the simulation and modeling of the production of Hydrogen and biogas using coffee pulp, a by-product of the wet processing of coffee through anaerobic digestion. For this objective, 4 chapters are developed that refer to the generalities of coffee, anaerobic digestion, mathematical modeling and finally the modeling and design of the process.
