For this reason it is implanted in this place as an articulating equipment of the municipalities of Soacha and Sibaté, that would work responding to the environmental, energetic and social needs of the region.El trabajo plantea espacios de investigación y gestión que busquen formar campesinos y profesionales de la región de la provincia de Soacha, en el desarrollo de formas para implementar energías renovables en zonas rurales y urbanas, que beneficien social, económica y ambientalmente a la comunidad, debido a la presente contaminación ambiental especialmente en los afluentes hídricos y el aire, la escasez de energía ocasionado por el incremento exponencial de la población en la región y el colapso de los rellenos sanitarios, ya que no se realizan procesos de depuración de la basura que en su mayoría son desechos orgánicos que sirven como combustibles o abonos.
