Summary:The research focused on the evaluation of the effectiveness of the use of the TiO2 photocatalyst for the removal of NOx pollutants in the air. Initially, a bibliographic review was carried out that included a short bibliometry, as well as some of the most relevant studies on the removal of NOx with TiO2 and modified TiO2. Likewise, the main methodologies for the realization of photocatalytic materials by coatings with TiO2 were identified, among which are the methods of mixing, spray coating, impregnation, sol-gel and dip coating, among others.
