Description
Summary:This text has a compilation and analysis of several works with the use of nanotechnology in the production waters of the oil industry as the main topic. In the production water are an infinite number of toxic components, which are removed by different processes. First of all, the different contaminants found in wastewater are presented, followed by the most common treatments used in wastewater. The following chapters deal with topics of major interest based on nanotechnology such as adsorption, membranes, photo-catalysts and antimicrobial processes, which explain the nano-materials used and emphasize the pollutant to be removed, and explain the advantages of using this natural resource by means of the new mechanisms implemented, and a compilation of data was make to analyze in depth the alternatives presented in order to conclude which of these, with the help of nanotechnology, can increase the efficiency and effectiveness in the process of removing pollutants from production waters with respect to the traditional alternatives.
