| Summary: | On this thesis degree, the reuse and repurpose of the electro submergible pump power cable is being evaluated throughout an inspection process both mechanical and electrical that have been used on this industry to assure the optimal state for operations on the subsoil following the guidelines of the policy IEEE 1019, ASTM A459 and ASTM B33, that guarantee the proper functioning of the power cable within the electro submergible pump lift system. As an output of the inspection procedure, an Excel program was developed under the Visual Basic language which helps to identify the different characteristics of the cable and therefore assuring an accurate selection of the cable to use when intervening the well again. |
