Summary: | This document focuses on the study of transfer trunks in a field of the Eastern Plains Basin. The field experienced potential growth and began production in 2016. Currently, 93 wells have been drilled in the field, and problems have been identified in the FUA1 and FUA2 trunks, such as overpressures and poor flow. The objective of the study is to carry out an analysis of the FUA1 and FUA2 trunks using a PIPESIM multiphase flow simulator, considering the current operational configuration of the wells. To carry out the simulation, information is collected from the terrain on which the trunks are built, fluid properties, geometry and mechanical condition of each one of the wells, and the actual operating data of the active wells. With the results of the simulation, the restrictions that are present in the flow lines are sought, based on these, improvement alternatives and recommendations are proposed to improve the flow in the transfer trunks and optimize the production system in the field. . Two specific trunks are analyzed, Trunk FUA1 and Trunk FUA2. The FUA1 Trunk has a 12" diameter and does not have a thermal coating, which has caused problems of overpressure and increased pressure in the most remote wells. On the other hand, the FUA2 Trunk has two diameters (20" and 30" ) and it is stated that it is not completely packed or has low fluid velocities. Finally, the recommendation is given to implement the best of the proposals based on their results, which must comply with the increase in the speed of the flow lines and, in turn, reduce the pressure of the system. |
